Senior Semiconductor Equipment Engineer (Fremont, CA)

BluGlass is at an exciting growth phase and is seeking to hire a highly motivated and experienced Senior Equipment Engineer, who will be responsible for all on-site manufacturing and test equipment used to create BluGlass’ proprietary next generation GaN based UV/VIS laser-technology.

Overview:

As the Senior Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for leading manufacturing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades supporting fab production. You will need to place emphasis on increased quality, safety, and process development results. This position will report directly to the Site’s Director of Operations. Candidates must have multi-disciplined semiconductor troubleshooting and repair experience, to include front end wafer fab experience. The candidate will be required to work with technical and production staff to establish 5S and SPC protocols, troubleshoot and resolve out-of-control conditions, and maintain safety, stability, reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

The Senior Equipment Engineer will also be responsible for the monitoring of the facility BMS and support equipment. Will be required to fix/report issues when they occur while also assisting in capacity expansion of BluGlass production lines. Candidates will also be required to collect/report data to outside agencies/management to include SWPPP, Wastewater data, and CUPA agencies while adhering to local, state, and federal ordinances.

Objective:

Oversee all operational aspects of site equipment at our Fremont, California facility, supporting the development and launch of our first GaN Lasers to the market. Establish equipment quality, safety, and operational standards (OEE) necessary to launch and deliver a continuous supply of innovative GaN Diode Lasers, thereafter.

Manufacturing Engineer, Draftsperson, Laser Diodes (Nashua, NH)

BluGlass is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laser Diode Manufacturing Engineer, who will be responsible for turning new laser diode product designs into 3D Models and drawings for BluGlass’ proprietary next generation GaN based UV/VIS laser-technology for use in the Industrial, Display, AR/VR, Automotive, General lighting and Biotech markets. Candidates must have experience with test equipment for Laser Diodes or similar equipment for Light-Emitting Diodes.

Developing leading-edge semiconductor technology and devices for more than a decade, BluGlass is a provider to the global GaN photonics industries, delivering cutting-edge, custom laser diode and LED development across the industrial, defence, display and scientific markets.

The Laser Diode Manufacturing Engineer with work with BluGlass’ Design Engineers to develop next generation GaN Diode Lasers, Submounts and integrated Laser Modules.
