Global semiconductor developer, BluGlass Limited (ASX: BLG) has partnered with the Semiconductor Sector Service Bureau (S3B), and Corporate Connect to host Australia’s second annual premier semiconductor, quantum and photonics conference, Semiconductor Australia 2025.
Taking place in Sydney on Wednesday, 22 October, Semiconductor Australia 2025 will bring together the nation’s leading semiconductor, quantum, defence, AI, and photonics innovators, with key policy makers, and the international investment community to help secure Australia’s deep-tech future.
The full day conference includes keynote presentations from industry luminaries, including Australia’s ninth Chief Scientist Dr Cathy Foley, and renowned scientist, entrepreneur and investor, Dr Simon Poole; expert roundtable sessions, and presentations from more than twenty public and private Australian companies across the semiconductor, quantum, defence, and photonics sectors. These include Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT), Silicon Quantum Computing, DroneShield Limited (ASX:DRO) and Morse Micro.
Commenting on the conference, BluGlass Chair James Walker said, “As a pioneer in the Australian semiconductor ecosystem, BluGlass continues to play an important role in educating the market on the widespread adoption of semiconductor technologies across industries and the unparalleled opportunity next-generation chips and compute power provide for the Australian economy. Last year’s sell-out event highlighted the significant interest in local deep-tech innovation, particularly across quantum and photonics where Australia is carving out a niche on the global stage. This year’s event broadens the investment focus to include sovereign defence and AI innovators, which are heavily reliant on semiconductor technologies for next-generation applications. We look forward to showcasing Australia’s deep-tech leaders and continuing critical discussions around the need for policy frameworks and access to capital to keep our homegrown talent onshore.”
