Laser Focus: Edison Group have launched the second report of a three-part series, examining key investment trends in the global photonics market. Investment trend #2 is Laser Diodes, critical devices used in a growing range of high-tech applications including materials processing, data communications, biometric facial recognition and range-finding. Mordor Intelligence expects demand from these applications to drive global market growth at a CAGR of 11.2% between 2021 and 2026 to reach US$16.3bn by 2026.
The report features BluGlass‘s novel laser diode growth technology to drive higher-brightness, higher-efficiency blue #GaN laser diodes, following our recent world-first demonstration of dual-n-wave laser diodes using RPCVD.
